How to use vinegar to clean flat top grill

Flat top grills can be one of the most difficult to clean because they are extremely hot and the ingredients that cook on them harden and accumulate other oils over time that are difficult to remove.

This is especially true if a flat top grill is a vital tool in a catering business (restaurants, bars and grills, fast food chains, etc.).

However, while there are chemically treated products designed to clean a flat top grill for an ultra bright finish, you can also use household ingredients such as vinegar to achieve a similar effect.

Food stains, debris and grease build-up

Typical ingredients on a flat top grill include fried rice, vegetables, eggs, meat and seafood.

Seasonings such as Millin, stock, soy sauce, salt, pepper, herbs and spices are also mixed with other main ingredients, let alone fry food in a few liters of oil.

With the high temperature, at least 10% of the food ingredients will be dehydrated and crushed into pieces, which will become food stains and debris.

As time goes on, the oil used to cook them becomes very viscous, because the food residue mixed with them will also form a grease accumulation on the surface of the grill.

The problem with these food stains, chips and grease deposits is that they harden and tend to stick to the grill, making it difficult to clean.

Daily cleaning and maintenance

In order to make the service life of the flat top grill exceed the expected service life specified by the manufacturer, you must clean and maintain it every day.

Scraping food residues and grease from the surface of the grill, removing ashes and other charcoal / sawdust fragments from the collection tray, and putting oil on the whole grill (to prevent rusting), can extend the life of the grill.

Flat top grill is still useful beyond its specified service life, which will bring more profits and savings to your restaurant or bar and grill enterprises.

To clean the grill with vinegar only

Flat top frying pan and pan are incredible commercial kitchen equipment.

Whether you are a talented teppanyaki chef, you can entertain guests with your own drama skills or just cook old dishes for your family and friends. The real star of the show is the flat top grill.

The best thing about this kitchen horse is that you don't have to do a lot of cleaning and maintenance.

Having the right tools and proper maintenance will ensure a long service life, and you won't need to spend thousands of dollars on new products soon.

One time seasoning (with a protective coating on cast iron, aluminum or chromium steel) is good and easy to clean. However, if you want to prevent the teppanyaki iron griddle from rusting, you need a second seasoning.

The purpose of the seasoning coating is to prevent food residue and accumulated grease from adhering to the surface of the grill and to help you clean it easily afterwards.

There are several ways to clean and flavor the frying stove, but in this paper, we will focus on vinegar as a rust inhibitor and edible oil as a metal seasoning.

Some chefs do it every day, while others do it only as needed.

Here are the steps to clean the flat top grill:

Step 1
Pour 50% of the mixture into the spray bucket and the other half into the small bucket.

Step 2
Spray grill surface and mix cooking vinegar with water vinegar. If you use a gas burner to heat the oven, you may need to remove the cooking grate and spray it on the gas burner with a water vinegar mixture to prevent water and debris from entering it.

Step 3
Wait 5 minutes for the water vinegar mixture to seep into the charcoal and food scraps, then scrub the grate with a barbecue brush to remove them. Now that they are soft, it should be easier to remove them.

Step 4
Immerse the grill grate and burner guard in a large plastic basin filled with hot soapy water.

Step 5
Dip the rags in the bucket and wring them out. Wipe the inside of the grill thoroughly - including the top of the hood. Change rags once a week to keep them clean and free from dirt.

Step 6
Seasoning: pour olive oil on a clean rag and wipe it on the grill. This kind of oil can prevent coke food residue and grease from accumulating on the grate of the oven. Once in a while, it's easier to clean your grill with oil, especially if you clean it every day.
